Agile Boot Camp
Background: An increasing number of Information Technology organizations are exploring the concepts of Agile development. Menlo Innovations' Agile Boot Camp is an opportunity to study an organization that has fully adopted Agile practices. Course Description: Day 1 – Agile Explained The adoption of Agile does not make development team smarter and therefore faster. Agile is the process of building a closer working relationship between business sponsors and software developers in which the most important requirements are prioritized highest and completed first. By building a closely collaborating team that is not driven by heroic effort, the organization can achieve sustainable success.
Days 2 – 4 – Writing Agile Requirements Workshop participants spend three days learning the theory of requirements gathering and specification in an agile environment. But perhaps more importantly, they gather requirements for several projects in real world learning experiences.
Day 5 – Agile Project Management Workshop participants spend the day doing hands-on activities learning how the processes of formal project management occur within an Agile environment. This portion of the course is taught by a PMP certified project manager.
Audience: Software developers, programmers, designers, architects and managers. Duration: 5 Days Prerequisites: None
